Welcome to Triple Dog Dare Ranch

Hello, and welcome to Snowflake Fibers! I’m Kathryn, and my hobby farm began with my deep love of animals and passion for knitting. When our youngest child left the nest in 2015, I knew I needed a big change in my life to keep me distracted from that massive shift. My amazing husband was incredibly supportive of anything I wanted to do. We sold our fabulous home in the suburbs and bought a dilapidated old house and retired horse farm on 5 acres in the beautiful Snoqualmie Valley. This mini farm came with three adorable alpacas and a guard llama to keep them safe.

Fast forward 5 years to today, and our farm house has been rebuilt from the ground up! We have over a dozen alpacas (with hopefully a few more on the way), two llamas, free ranging chickens and a pack of rescue dogs that keep us very busy. I’m proud to be the main caretaker for our animals but my talented husband who is an executive in the tech world does lend a helping hand with the big stuff when I can tear him away from his computer.

One of my favorite things about our farm is our involvement in supporting other businesses led by women. Each year we partner with female-owned mills to produce locally made, luxury yarns; incredible hand woven alpaca rugs from a small female-run mill in Texas; and felted fabric and other one of a kind fiber crafts.

If you’d like to learn more about our alpaca fibers please check out our SHOP page and follow the farm fun on Instagram and Facebook or shoot us a message on our CONTACT page. Thank you for stopping by!
